The New Mogadishu Development Corporation (NMDC) is a pioneering public-private partnership spearheading several large-scale multimodal infrastructure developments, including the development of the New Mogadishu Special Economic District, which consists of Phase 1 of the New Mogadishu International Airport (NMIA), the New Mogadishu Maritime Port (NMMP), and a state-of-the-art Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

These initiatives are strategically designed to attract both local and foreign investment, create jobs, and bolster Somalia’s economy. This multi-phase program will include constructing various intermodal and multimodal facilities and manufacturing, commercial, and logistics infrastructure, addressing the associated human settlement needs.
